I am embarrassed that it has been so long since I have posted anything, I simply have not felt good and just havent gotten out to take photos.  so I am posting a few old photos and hope that I will get our to take some new ones.

    Buffalo Valley in GTNP, all of the photo's on this post are taken with film, velvia 50 or provia     100, I still love shooting with film along with digital, but lately I have been shooting a lot more film, mostly Ektar 100 for wildlife and landscape and portra 400 for street photography.  You can tell these are film, I forgot to even the edges after scanning, oh well.

Bison at Antelope Island, Utah

I have photographed hundreds of Bison over the years in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, but this guy was the biggest I had ever seen, he eventually crossed the road in front of me and his eyes were above the window of my truck, a giant.  There are a lot of Bison on Antelope Island and also antelope, deer, and bighorn sheep.

Pronghorn

This is a great looking antelope, doesn't seem to be near as many as there used to be in the areas I frequent.

My favorite Owl, took this photo in Yellowstone, they are the largest North American Owl, awesome bird.

Bighorn Sheep

 I was digging through some old photos today and found this Bighorn sheep, it was one of the first photo's that I ever took with Provia 100 film, still one of the best films for wildlife and I took it with a Canon EOS3  camera.  I still like to shoot film when ever I have the ability to wait to see the finished result.

Market Lake

went for a walk this evening at Market Lake one of my favorite places to hunt ducks.  A couple of photos of the area and a tree full of red-winged blackbirds.

Ghost signs and old signs

There are so many old ghost signs (faded) and cool signs around the Idaho Falls area, they are fun to look for and some tell real cool stories.

 I bought my first hunting and fishing licenses at Harveys Store

 One of the neat old buildings in town.

 the old union hall, it was later replaced by the old mint bar.  I remember the men sitting on the bench waiting to be called to work, my dad owned a drug store just a few yards from this old hall.

Just a cool sign with alot of memories for some.

Grizzly Bear

These photo's were taken near Sylvan Lake in Yellowstone NP.  A large female and her cub.  She let us photograph her for over an hour, it was great.

A trip to the zoo

went to the zoo today with family and took a few photos.

I photographed this bird today along fish creek road in Island Park, ID.  I circled around me many times letting me photograph it before finally flying into this aspen.

Early morning walk at Camas NWR

Walked the birding trail this morning and was really kinda dead but did take a few photos I liked, beautiful day cant wait till mid September and some good fall deer watching.  here are three photos that I liked from today.  A morning bird silhouette, dragon flies on willows and a whitetail deer in the willows.

I really like the color of these sun flowers, I only had a few in my backyard that turned out to be this color.
